1. Orders and deliverables

Bio Basic will send DNA sequencing results electronically. All results will be kept in Bio Basic’s database for a period of 6 months. During this period, customer may request sequencing results. After 6 months, DNA sequencing results are automatically destroyed without further notification.

DNA sequencing will NOT be initiated unless a P.O. or credit card number is provided. Bio Basic accepts credit card (Visa or MasterCard), cheque, or wire in payment.

2. Turnaround

Bio Basic will make its best effort to send DNA sequencing results within 48 hours. Time may vary depending on the size of the project. We try our best to accommodate special time constraints whenever possible, so projects of more than one hundred reactions may still get 24-48 hours turn around. Mail-in samples need to be received before 12:00 noon to catch the same day run (results available the next day). If you are using FedEX, "priority overnight" arrives at Bio Basic each day at approximately 11:00 am.

3. Cancellations

Customer may not cancel any order or return any samples without Bio Basic’s consent. Cancellation and return charges may be charged. Customer must contact Bio Basic to obtain a return material authorization number.

4. Warranty

Bio Basic guarantees > 500bp Q20 read length and more than 90% successful rate. Bio Basic does not guarantee any downstream application(s) or usage of the DNA sequencing results. Any claims or dispute must be submitted within 2 weeks after shipment. Bio Basic reserves the right to refuse handling disputes after a period of 3 months.

5. Prices

Pricing for DNA sequencing apply only to the specific quantity, sample purification and primer synthesis. All prices are subject to correction of errors; Bio Basic reserves the right to adjust prices on orders during production due to changes in cost of materials, transportation or wages. Failed runs will be charged in full, however Bio Basic will repeat failed samples at least once. However sample(s) that contain sequences with secondary structures will not be considered a failed reaction and will not be repeated. Any tax, customs, surcharge or duty, howsoever denominated, imposed upon the sale, importation, delivery or use of products shall be the responsibility of the customer.

6. Confidentiality

Bio Basic and the customer both agree that all confidential information including but not limited to project scope, contract terms, pricing information, product development technologies and processes, and business-related information shall not be disclosed to any third party and both parties receiving confidential shall only make internal use of the confidential information.
