The Complete COVID‐19 Extraction and Detection Kit allows an All‐In‐One solution for the Extraction of Viral RNA, followed by its detection via RT‐PCR.

This complete kit comprises of the following two kits:
I. COVID-19 Viral RNA Extraction Kit (Cat # VT9200 )
II. SARS‐CoV‐2 RT‐PCR Detection Kit (Cat # CoV‐2‐RTPCR)

I. COVID-19 Viral RNA Extraction Kit (Cat # VT9200 )

The kit is especially designed for COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2). It simplifies the isolation of COVID-19 viral RNA from cell-free body fluids with a fast spin-column format. No phenol/chloroform extraction is required. Viral RNA binds specifically to the silica membrane while contaminants are removed in the flow-through. PCR inhibitors such as divalent cations and proteins are completely removed in two efficient wash steps, leaving pure viral RNA to be eluted in RNase-free water. Purified RNA is ready to use in RT-PCR, Northern blotting, or other downstream applications.

*Storage:
Carrier RNA should be divided into conveniently sized aliquots and stored at –20°C. Do not freeze-thaw the aliquots of Carrier RNA more than 3 times. All remaining components should be stored at room temperature. The kit is valid for 1 year at 4°C.

II. SARS‐CoV‐2 RT‐PCR Detection Kit (Cat # CoV‐2‐RTPCR )

Our newly developed RT-PCR kit can be used on human respiratory tract specimens and serves as an ideal molecular diagnostic tool to detect COVID-19 / SARS-CoV-2.

► Highly specific for the ORF1ab and N target markers recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the United States.
► Ready-to-use reaction kit that includes MasterMix, Primers/Probes, and Internal Positive Control.
► Can be used with samples collected from sputum and naso/ oropharyngeal swabs.
► Compatible with standard RT-qPCR machines (Applied Biosystems 7500, QuantStudio 7 Flex, or Bio-Rad CFX96 recommended).
► Clinically tested using SARS-CoV-2 reference genome RNA (please refer to the report in the documents tab)

The analytical detection limit for the SARS-COV-2 RT-PCR Detection Kit was determined as 10 copies/reaction; Ct <37.

SARS-CoV-2 RT-PCR Detection Kit is a one-step RT-PCR Kit for the detection of SARS-CoV2-specific RNA in specimens including serum from suspected patients. The kit contains SARS-CoV-2-specific primer and probe sets designed by comparing all available sequences of other coronaviruses that allows both transcription and subsequent PCR amplification in a single reaction. An internal control for human RNA species will be provided with the kit to identify possible PCR inhibition and assess the reliability of the PCR reaction.

This Assay is validated on the Applied Biosystems® 7500 Fast and 7500 Real-Time PCR system, the Bio-Rad CFX96 and the Roche LightCycler® 480 II.
